Camera Identification and Valuation Services

I can provide you with identification and the current market value of your cameras or lenses, as well as provide historical information on your photographic item. I am very familiar with most cameras, lenses and related photographica from the 1839-1969 time period and/or can research them quite easily.  I have been buying, selling and collecting antique cameras for 30 years.  I am the founder (1995) of what was the largest camera collecting email group in the world, "The Internet Directory of Camera Collectors." I am also a member of the Photographic Historical Society of New England and the Daguerreian Society and have also exhibited some of my collection at The MIT Museum in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

I have been buying, selling and trading photographic equipment on Ebay since 1996 and have over 2,500 positive feedback comments with no negative feedback in over 24 years.  Click here to see My Ebay feedback page.  You can email me at  dan@antiquecameras.net

I am offering two levels of services, delivered via email:

Level One
For just
$ 5.00
, I will provide you with the current market value of your camera (or lens or other photographic items) and with basic data such as the year built, model and manufacturer. This value is based on current SOLD auctions on eBay in the US as well as published price guides and my experience in buying, selling, trading and collecting cameras for the past 30 years.  I am not a static price guide or a computer generated database - I am a human who works and deals in the photographic market on a daily basis.

Level Two
For $ 12.00, I will provide you with the current market value of your camera (or lens) and historical information and/or additional research on your particular item. Click here for a $ 12 sample of my services

** In the event your item is worth less than $ 40.00 US, I will let you know that FREE of charge.**

I will also give a discount on multiple evaluations or collections - just ask.

HOW DOES THIS WORK ?

Email me and describe the item(s) you want identified and/or valued. I will email you back and let you know if I am able to help. Include photos if you have them and any serial numbers you find. Click HERE TO EMAIL ME or email dan@antiquecameras.net

If I can help, I will email you back and send you a link so you can pay for the $ 5 or $ 12 service via paypal.com. Payment is easily made with a credit card for your protection and paypal buyer safeguards. Using a credit card protects you.  You do not need to be a paypal member or have an account with them.  In some cases, I can also accept VENMO. Thank you.

*Please note that my valuations may or may not be used for insurance valuation purposes.  Some insurance companies only accept a written appraisal by someone certified and/or licensed in your state to offer such information.  My valuations, while accurate and supoprted by public online auctions (eBay), are typically used to let owners know the current market value of their treasure. However, check with your insurer as I have provided many valuations for insurance purposes. I can ever send you a sample that can be provided to your insurer.

If you want to pay first, please do so below.   I am able to provide refunds if needed.
Please note that I try to respond timely, but life sometimes intrudes....  Most appraisals are done within 24-48 hours, but sometimes delays happen.  Thank you !
